This Centre known as “ANDHERI GEM & JEWELLERY CUSTOMS CLEARANCE CENTRE’ has been notified as “CUSTOMS AREA” by the Commissioner of Customs, Mumbai, while MMTC LTD has approved it as “CUSTODIAN” for the purpose of storage as well as clearance of import and export cargos for diamonds, precious, semi- precious stones, pearls and jewellery made of gold or any other precious metal with or without studding. Others include precious metal, precious metal alloy, industrial diamond powder and synthetic stones etc.This Centre successfully started operations w.e.f. 12.07.2007.
